I went on a challenging walk today - distance wise, it was only a 6km round trip. But.. it was a big uphill slog, with something like 1349 steps…. The view from the top was great, although the misty rain was heading in. I will show you the view tomorrow - it's 374 metres above sea level. I did like all the signs on the way - giving me excuses to stop and take photos. As I am not very fit, I may not be able to walk tomorrow!
@dide I'm so impressed Dianne. We do it from the Huntly side, which I think is a bit easier. I will look forward to seeing the view from the Ngaruawahia end
Oh no Dide you took the hard track... well done.. sorry I missed out on this little adventure.. we will have to do it from the Huntly end some time.. fav for all the effort..
Well done Dianne, I am impressed. What a great series of signs. Looking forward to tomorrows image. As a child I spent a lot of time staying with rellies in Ngaruawahia looking at the hills, but have never been to them.
Very motivational signs. I had to smile when you said that you took the photos of all the signs as it gave you an excuse to stop for a while. Isn't photography fabulous it gives us time to catch our breath.
It's harder at the Ngaruawahia end because it's steps all the way up. But I reckoned coming down was just as hard because my legs turned jelly-like. Great views from the top though and worth the slog up. Look forward to seeing your shot tomorrow.
