The view

Late this afternoon we went for a bit of a hike up a large hill near Bombay. This is the view from the top of Mt William - not very good lighting… It took an hour to get to the top - there's actually two ways to get there. From the northern end, it is pretty much a gentle stroll across farmland. From the southern side, it goes up through some lovely bush, but is a hard slog. We chose to climb up through the bush, and I got slower and slower! But I did make it to the top!
The last time I did that walk I remember you had a small child in a backpack.. What a great view..

You must be high to see the see from way down here in the South! Good DOF!

I've heard about Mt William, but never done this. I played golf with a lady last year at Matamarua last year (27 holes), then she left to run up Mt William as she was trainining to go to Everest. I was in awe then, even more do now

Lovely view and landscape from up top. Lovely, how the little sheep dot the hills. Worth the hard work!

Thank you for showing me the view from the top, haven't been there and on that report am unlikely to attempt it.
Nice image.

@tramway It is much easier from the northern side, across the farmland. The walkway is closed from 1st August until 1st October during lambing. Here is the way to find the northern entry for those that are interested. The northern end of the track is found on Puketutu Rd, off Razorback Rd, which can be accessed from Beaver Rd, off SH 1.
