Broken

On the way northward on Thursday, I called into the disused cement works at Warkworth. It is so interesting, but surrounded by a tall wire mesh fence, so a bit frustrating for photography. Next time I go, I will take a step ladder and/or wire cutters! We have 'broken' as a set subject at Camera Club later in the year, so I'm on the lookout for subjects.
This one's for you Marnie @golftragic - it's your kind of image and also sharing the frustrations of old things being fenced off!

Ooooo, what a fabulous find, I do love grunge. Looks like a few photo ops here if only you could get near enough without dratted fences.

@golftragic Yep - I want to go back early morning or late evening - a bit tricky as it is at the end of a narrow windy metal road and the gate gets locked….

@dide Oh gee more obstacles to get over, under or around. Good luck, look forward to seeing some more of this gem.

It's a great place, we visited there in 2015 on holiday - the fence didn't stop us ;)

Desolation is the word that came to mind, as I noticed others used.
