One Tree Hill by dide

One Tree Hill

This is a volcanic hill in Auckland. It used to have a big pine tree on the top but that's another story! It has farmland around it which is grazed with sheep and cattle and forms part of Cornwall Park. A pretty neat place to see the countryside without having to leave the city!
Here's the link to what happened to the pine tree.

Fascinating background to this shot/scene. And a strong composition in memory of the One Tree.

Nice capture. I used that tree to navigate my way around Auckland. Been lost ever since it went :)

This is a great shot of One Tree Hill. My son lives close to here and wants me to get a photo for him. Mine were pretty awful, but that was a while ago and I think I have improved a bit since starting 365

@dide Oh yes I see that now - that is close to Campbell Road and only 5 minutes walking from my son's house.

@dkbarnett a nice view as there's lots of pohutukawa on tithe skyline.
