@julzmaioro, myself and another friend went to visit the gannet colony at Muriwai today. Luckily the weather wasn't as bad as predicted, but the wind was very cold. (We escaped the worst of the rain by having lunch at a nearby cafe.) The gannets were really cool to watch - the males were gathering nesting material and bringing it back to their mate. They really love their mate and were seen mutually preening each other... which then often lead to further proclamations of love!
