This lovely old puriri tree must have been blown over by the strong westerly winds whistling through the gully. It is determined to still grow, providing lovely, pink, nectar-filled flowers, and berries for bird food.
It’s amazing what a tenacious grip nature has on life! Lovely capture. We live on the edge of the moors and it never fails to amaze me how trees manage to hang onto cliff edges and Stoney ground.
