All fixed! by dide

All fixed!

One of the fences has slowly been getting worse and worse. When Eric the bull decided to walk through it the other day, I realised it was time to fix it. That was today's job. Instead of barbed wire, we used 4 plain wires and made two of them 'hot'. Hopefully that'll slow him down from escaping into the next paddock.
Fencing is so important - the good farmers check them all the time - or it could be the wives!

@maggiemae I got the easy job today - putting the staples through the concrete posts - easier than hammering them into the wooden ones!

Fascinating. I know very little about fencing other than those close by. Wondering about the two 'hot' ones. I can appreciate you don't want a bull wandering into the next field though!!

@sarah19 the two middle wires are joined to an electric fence unit. The cattle learn to respect them very quickly!
