The top of the North Island has had torrential rain today, with areas flooded and roads closed. It is a repeat of the floods earlier in the year in some areas. At the end of the day, the sun appeared for about two minutes and luckily I had the camera ready. The golden maize plants are waiting to have the grain harvested, but the weather is not playing ball. This is the view from the dining room window and all the trees on the left have been planted in the last 7 years or so.
So much rain….I talked to my son last night & he was full of cold & so fed up with the wet weather this year. That maize field looks gorgeous & very ripe! Hope the ground dries up soon or it will be messy!
