This cute little shelter is a recent addition to the Hauraki Cycle Trail. We cycled from Kaiaua to the bird sanctuary and back, about a 20km loop. It's nice to be able to cycle along without traffic whizzing past.
@johnfalconer it is right near the beach and there used to be a lagoon there for safe access. Over the years, the sand bar in front of the lagoon has slowly washed away.
