While we were staying at Ambury Park, we went for a bike ride. This image was taken in the Waikaraka Park Cemetery. It is a really huge cemetery and has some beautiful old headstones. This one I noticed as it had fallen down, adding a sadness to an already solemn place.
His name is still legible but other details seem to have worn off. If I ever start taking myself too seriously a walk through an old graveyard is a good therapy. It brings home the saying, “Who will care in a hundred years?”
