The workshop

I had an opportunity to attend a seed sowing workshop today. It was really good to learn some more about how to grow NZ native trees. It was especially interesting to find out more about seed gathering and seed preparation. I travelled 25 minutes to the Awhitu Landcare nursery - lots of people had come from afar - Clevedon, Hunua, Puhoi and the Waitakeres.
That sure must have been very interesting for you, lovely shot of the sieved soil.

Lovely capture. It is very rewarding when you start plants from seed. This year i sowed Zinnias and another type of flowering plants (forgot the name) and they are in the soil now and doing well. So happy to watch them grow from the tiny seeds.

Let the fun begin what a wonderful idea Dianne, we have planted trees at every property we have owned but usually from saplings although my wife has grown at least a dozen Oak trees from acorns, we only have one of these oak trees in this garden:)
