Hello My 365 Friends,
I apologize for not being as active as I have been in the past. Back when I began my project on June 10th, 2009 I faithfully posted every day for several years but then life began to catch up and life was too busy to continue so I had to back off. I have tried several times to get back into the practice of daily posting but after a couple of weeks I begin to fall off. So at this time I visit when I can because I like to keep in touch with all the friends I've made over the years.
I have met so many wonderful friends on this project and it has been a pleasure to be exposed to some awesome talent. I reside on the East Coast, the great USA in the State of Pennsylvania. My home is near the sweetest place on Earth, Hershey, Pa, home of the Great American Chocolate Bar. I lived here most of my life except for about 5 1/2 years when my Wife Josie and I lived in Lynchburg, Virginia where I attended Liberty University.
I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family, my Wife Josie, our Children and of course the Grandchildren. They are a great source of joy for us. By profession I am a Registered Nurse, and I work with the geriatric population in a long term care setting, my specialty, dementia care. I love my work and I love my Residents for they each have their own personality, and they are an inspiration to me, a wealth of wisdom and charm.
For fun, of course I enjoy photography, and I enjoy writing, fishing and I have a love for antiques. I was raised a country boy, and I love photographing nature and its beautiful landscapes. Once life slows down a bit and we can retire, we would love to do some traveling, but for now, thanks to this wonderful project I have the world at my fingertips. The wonders of technology!
As our lives continue to be busy I will keep my account active and I will drop in when I can. We are now setting a date in our mind for retirement, so when that time comes I hope to find time to do more of the things I enjoy doing. In the meantime, I will drop by from time to time to check on you all, and please feel free to drop me a line by e-mail. Would love to hear form you.
If you ever want to drop me an e-mail, please feel free to do so at RickJo1954@comcast.net
