Hi all, a friend sent me this video on youtube and I think it is so hilarious. At first I thought it was a real product! we've all heard stories of professionals photoshoping models and people to the point where they are not recognisable any more, or that the pictures on fashion magazines are just not realistic (all you have to do is google "ralph lauren photoshop"!)
I won't spoil it for you all but let's just say if it were real, I would buy it immediately! hehehe
@bobbyj I saw this on facebook and also forwarded it along. I really think it is important to tell young girls to have real expectations of their bodies and images that they often see aren't real. Its something often said but yet society still doesn't practice what they preach. At the end of the day, it comes down to the fact that sex sells. Plain and simple.
@livin365 I agree with you completely! I don't understand society standards these days. I've seen videos on before and after, and I often think to myself, the before photos look way better and realistic than the after photos!
A great video to show the unrealistic images that are so damaging to people in society these days!!! Why oh why can't people just be themselves without being made to feel inadequate!
It's a much more light-hearted take on the Dove beauty campaign some time ago. When I pick up a magasine I do have to keep reminding myself (by saying over and over in my head) "it's not real...it's not real" because it simply isn't. Any wonder why young girls end up with esteem issues.
