@josephpadiernos I'm so sorry! First thing to check is if you are under warranty. If so you might be covered. HOWEVER, even if you can ship it off to get fixed it will likely not be back in time for your shoot next week. I would recommend renting a lens for your shoot, it is relatively inexpensive (you can get really nice lenses for $40/day). Try lensrentals.com or something similar.
@grizzlysghost I already saw that post while researching but the thing is, I'm quite afraid with that electrical part. I might go to nikon tomorrow. I hope It doesn't go around $200 :(
@grizzlysghost@scatochef thanks so much guys! I'll make a blog on how this happened as a lesson for other photographers who are starting out. It's a little bit my bad also so LESSON LEARNED the HARD WAY
i figured you're at least partly to blame. that printed data cable thingy has been ripped out.
but hey, a lesson learned the hard way is one you'll never forget :P i'm kind of like that with my earphones, gone through more pairs than i care to count.
How much do you think it would cost me? it's a $1500 lens so I think repairs are also high?
