Russia In Color - AMAZING!!

August 20th, 2010
Hello fellow 365'rs! A friend recently posted this article full of gorgeous COLOR photos taken in Russia between 1863-1944. Read the blurb about the use of colored filters to capture near-true color at the beginning. I wanted to share this article because the use of color in these photographs is absolutely stunning and somewhat eerie! I hope you enjoy this as much as I have. Cheers!

WOW That was very interesting! It amazed me how with color it didn't seem to be THAT much different than a photo taken today. Made me feel not so different from those of 100 years ago! Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm so glad you all enjoyed. I, too, was blown away. I found myself imagining them in black & white! What an incredible dimension the addition of color is to photography. I hope you'll pass the link along with others that will enjoy as well. Cheers!
