Nikon and Jessop's Update

In light of Jessop's going under, this maybe of interest to anyone who had purchased a Nikon from them, especially if you had also paid for an extended warranty.

I was in my local Jessops 3 days before they folded - and they were still giving customers the hard sell on extended warranties then.

On the other side of the coin, I've seen a few facebook and forum posts from people who had bought stuff on Jessops buy now pay later scheme.

A few of those were hoping to avoid having to pay - no such luck of course, as the deal is run by a finance company.

Thats honorable. When our Ritz Camera folded last fall they would not honor the extended warranties. Now the first of the year they re-opened and still not honoring the extended warranties.

@cmc1200 Some did. Their web site is back up and some stores reopened.
