I think she gets a little lost on the second page, but it's an interesting read.

Interesting read Paul, thanks for posting. i have felt several time this year a bit of animosity to my photo taking, and all i was trying to do was take landscape or night sky photos.

Paul, thanks for posting. I felt like she was stating the obvious as it relates to technology, but sort of rambled towards any type of a "real" resolution. The struggle she mentions has existed since the first voice recorder, image capture and rolling picture devices were created. What is happening now is the technology is easily affordable and everywhere. She doesn't dwell on the Internet, but that too plays as much of a role since it is at the heart of her article. Sadly, what people don't mention is we are becoming a police-like state. The acts of a few (terrorists) now dictate major policies, activities and our culture. In a way, one might say they have succeeded....

a scary read, as a genealogist - as well as a photographer - I have seen laws restricting information that does not make sense. A birth certificate of someone born in the 1850s should not be restricted on grounds of identity theft.
