wha? no cameras in the Louvre? guess I'm a criminal then cuz I have a beautiful set of photos that I took of my favorite statue...I mean, they're postcards. Yeah, I didn't break any rules...not me.

I am a fan of this. Breaking rules annoys people that make rules, and that's never a bad thing.

lol ditto The Steve... never met a rule I haven't tried to break!!!

@msk1p2 As far as I know, they're forbidden. Perhaps it's just no flash or only for the Mona Lisa? I don't really know, but either way, it's a cool site :)

No cameras allowed in St Pauls either!! So I only got about 6!

I have a bunch of photos from The Louvre (probably like 100 - loved the sculptures!) I think photography there is allowed, just not with a flash. Some of my pictures are on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=665461777&v=photos#!/album.php?aid=15780&id=665461777

The website seems like fun - I love breaking the rules every once in a while! :-)

Hmmm... in my experience the Louvre was so militant about forbidding the use of cameras that my friend almost had hers confiscated. Whereas the Sistine Chapel was so la-dee-da about it all they were practically giving away paint chips from the ceiling.

Thanks for the link!

I took loads of photos in the Louvre and almost got my camera confiscated in the Sistine Chapel!

Haha! You guys are badass... I'm too big of a sissy to do that :P

They were'nt too strict in the Sistine - too many people to control I think! I got a few sneaky shots in there last year! ;0)

@indiannie_jones - just the flash. I have a photo of people taking photos of the mona lisa. It made me laugh. Its one of the most recognizable paintings in the world. Why would you spend time photographing it, instead of LOOKING at it? Haha

Sorry if any of you have done that. It just made me laugh. You can't even get that close to it. :P

@crappysailor I thought so, but figured they'd banned cameras entirely as a precaution. I never made it to the Louvre.

@indiannie_jones - ah, I don't care what anyone says, its a painful experience. Its like going shopping during christmas time. I enjoy seeing whats on display there, but its a struggle to get around. Which I can understand. But its just not for me.
