i found out about this project two days ago and figured the new year would be a GREAT time to start! any tips?! new to photography and the whole idea..
Follow people whose photos you like, because you can learn a lot here! If you want people to comment on your photos, you need to comment on other member's photos. That's about it . . . have fun! This is a really terrific community, and I've just loved participating.
Welcome to 365! A great place to start also would be checking out the the sub categories under "Browse". You'll see some really great photos and ideas for inspiration.
I`m not sure sure what tips I could give you,I still consider myself kind of new at this. First of all,don`t get discouraged when you look around here,and see perfect photos.A lot of things that look "pro" to you at first,will be normal,as you "grow".Heck,on my first day here,I thought only pro`s can do photo collages! ...
I`m suggesting to enjoy it more and never really look at it as a competition,because it`s definately not. This is a really friendly lil` community where most people use their uploaded photos not to show-off,but to document a day of their lives. Like a creative photographic daily diary.
I noticed people quitting due to taking all of this too seriously,and yes,even the one-shot-per-day thing can and most probably will ocasionally stress you out a bit and make you feel pressured,but as long as you look at the big picture,you`ll allways see that only good things can come,by taking part of it.
...so,enjoy the ride! :)
welcome aboard. tips? take your camera everywhere and just ENJOY!!! the more you surf around and find a group of followers the more you'll learn. open your eyes - you'll find yourself seeing pictures in the most mundane places. I'm totally addicted!
@spaceman Martin reading your reply just helped me because I look at the work of so many people and I always feel I have such a long way to go but If I learn one thing a day.......I am sure one day I will have my aha moment with my camera. Don't give up......
