The book "Accidental Magic"

January 22nd, 2011
I highly recomend the book "Accidental Magic" to anyone interested in Photography, although it is a book about writing. The premise is this: "Have you ever been so captivated by a photo that you wondered what was happening the moment it was captured?" People were given random photos to which they were to write the story behind the photo without knowing anything about them. It is a wonderful book of b&w photos and creative inspiration.

Please let me know what you think.

@lucerick Sounds cool, think there might be something in it for some fun and games here. Take a photo that is entirely inexplicable with a caption of write a story in the comments.

Could also be a way to get you taking more intriguing photos - I know a couple of ones people have seen of me, have created a list of questions beginning with how? or why? People rarely ask the photographer what happened for some reason, they ask the subjects...

@killerjackalope I like where you are thinking of taking this. Imagine putting up your favorite 20 photos and take the best stories written for them by strangers and putting the collection into a book of your own. Shutterfly will allow you to make a bound book just like that for relatively inexpensive.

@lucerick This might call for knocking a website together...
