Colors are nice - but it'd be stronger if the wing was in better focus. Looks blurred to me, and along with the blurred lights, I actually couldn't tell what it was at first.
I would crop out half of the wing from the bottom. The pesky moving plane and blurring the lights makes it a bit distracting. Also I might adjust the color balance to a hint of blue to give more depth.
@mrstfeeley216 night shots from a plane are hard to do, no matter what camera you have. if you have lightroom, you could add a graduated filter to the wing to adjust the exposure and make it brighter. or in photoshop (or whatever program you use) you can probably easily mask that portion and adjust the exposure/brightness.
i think its a little jarring because my attention is drawn to the lights but the lights are out of focus. Looks like the camera's auto focus may have picked up on the edge of the wing and exposed for that as well.
I'd try to focus on the brightest part next time and see if that helps.. you can always try a little post production to bump up the exposure after you do this.
