I borrowed one for about a month - just didnt like the camera. I bought the D200, and got rid of that pretty sharpish too! Hated it, found it sloppy. Less expensive was the D70's/80's which to me were better quality, apart from the dial controlling the camera settings being easily knocked.
But you cant go wrong with $10! I hope you win at that price. Have you given a thought about lenses tho? That's more important to me than the camera body, cheap lenses 95% of the time are a waste of dosh.
The nikon D100 is a great camera, It's old and there are more advanced cameras but it still takes the same great pictures today as when it was new and the best around. I have 2 and they work great
probally the most bang for your buck. shoot in raw and use good post software light lightroom and you get excellent results
@anzere03 well i dont have a slr i have a point and shoot so i am not sure i would mind! and the one i am looking at is new and 10 dollars on ebay so!
