Hi Everyone! I made the decision to start up the 365 Project this year; I didn't do so well with things in 2012. I am amazed at how easy it is for me to take 365+ photos in a matter of hours, but taking a photo a day can be so hard, so I'm up for the challenge and looking for any critique, advice and tips you are willing to give. I am currently taking a course in photography and feel that signing up here will help me reach my goals. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
Hey Dagny! I'm coming into my 3rd year and I guess my advice would be to look around you, find something mundane, and turn it into a work of art through your photos! Or, set yourself a challenge each day/week, e.g. shoot only red things, shoot in black and white, shoot things that start with the letter M. The possibilities are pretty much endless. I wish you all the best on your 365 journey :)
I'll pitch into the Welcome Wagon as well Dagny. Its a great community for those who want to get involved.
As for advice, I'm probably not the best one to give it as I'm on my third attempt at sticking it through. For what it is worth, I think the key to maintaining motivation and improving your skills around here is to engage with the other 365ers, especially the veterans. Get amongst the discussions, post (and where possible respond to) comments and try the themes and comps.
I hope you enjoy your time with 365. It is a fantastic place to learn. Go check out others pictures, pass comments and you will find many will comment back. If you want to reply to someone's comment click on 'reply' and they will be tagged and informed of your reply otherwise they may not see it!

Other than that - have fun!
