Critique thread for everyone!

January 25th, 2013
Hi there!
I always want to ask for critique and I don't really have many followers. So i decided, someone should make a thread that everyone can post their pictures in and ask for critique...So here it is! You may post your pictures on this thread and you can always get critique on your work! If your going to critique someone make sure to tag them in your comment.
So I will start with my two that I have been wondering what others think!

@jenniferrichelle Just so you know, you can always tag your photos "critique-me" as well. For the first one though, I wish that you were not transparent in the photo and I don't like the balloon as it just looks too fake and "photoshopped" ;) lol. I am not really getting what the story is with it so maybe that is why I am not really associating with it

@jenniferrichelle I think maybe more focus should go into quality of the photos instead of photoshop. (I understand the first one was an edit of someone else's photo, I think I saw that discussion, haha). Editing photos is great but sometimes keeping things simple produces the best results.

I also agree with Taylor. Less is more when it comes to PS in my opinion.

The interesting thing about PS is that it has two streams.

1) Processed photos
2) Processed photos that dont look processed.

I use PS all the time and find it very important for the work that I do. Speaking from experience you will find people that love super processed PS images and some that do not.

I like both, but I dont like over processed PS images that look cheap. My advice to you is to not worry about what the general people think of over processed PS images and engage in with people that use PS a lot and are good at it.

This way you will be feedback from the people that really know and are on the same wave length.

If you are not following Tracy you should do so. Ask her questions and ask her to comment on your work.

@mmartin @a_skeleton @kjarn @karenpics @jsorensenart What I was going for was the over processed kind of thing. A different kind of art. I appreciate all your advice greatly and will 100% take it into consideration next time!

@agima Thank you very much for that! It reassured me that I don't have to change what kind of photographs I love to do for the majority of the people here! Thank you also so much for the wonderful recommendation as to all of her photos are beautiful.

@jenniferrichelle Definitely don't change your style and doing what you love for people on here. This project is for you...not the strangers on here ;) and Tracy is amazing, as is Brendan :) @agima@ tracywilliams
