hey guys i'm trying to auction off a few of my 'best' pictrues as a way to get money to help get me to puerto rico with my church youth group. so...i need to pick 6 or 7 of my 'favorite' or 'best' pictures, but i have no idea which ones i should print and frame and stuff. so...if you could 'vote' or whatever on your top 5 that'd be good :)) thanks!!!!!!!! (keep in mind these will (if they sell) end up in people's homes) :)
Ok so I looked through your calender as if I were looking for prints to purchase for my home- and these were my picks:
9/12 Remains
9/1 Liquid Yellow
8/11 Easter Lily
7/18 Show You Love
Also remember that if you are going to try to sell these to the general public it is important that you have these printed on very high quality paper, and framed and matted well. Good luck with earning the money you need to go with your youth group!
See the problem here is the ones i would choose may not be the kind of things that others would buy.
I like all your abstract ones as thats the kind of things i would have (and do have) hanging on my walls. I've got a pic somewhere in my 365 of some of the stuff i have hanging.
For me:
Purple - 28 may
The Path we walk - 7th sept
there's a light - 10th sept
What you need to do though is think about who you are going to be selling them too, and work out what type of thing they would like.
@hednod: you're so right :) and i like your taste! i like it when people pick different things (not nessisarily for THIS instance haha) it's refreshing :)
Is there a way to have 4x6 printed and matted for cheap to offer people more of a variety? For example,
"Riding Center" on April 5 might appeal to some young equestrian, but that doesn't mean that you should expect to find that target audience. I think that the matted 4x6 would enable you audience to see a broad scope of your work and then some of the shots that people have mentioned above or your own personal favorites should be blown up and matted and framed. ***Of course if anyone shows an interest in one of your 4x6, you could always offer to special custom size/matt/frame according to their specifications if you only have it available in 4x6 at the time. :)
I am going through your collection now...will comment on the shots that I nominate. Hope this helps Rae (it's really just food for thought, as I had recently attended an Art festival, but have never attempted to sell any of my work myself.) Hope you make it to your goal! Please let us know how it turns out :)
