My first thought on this second day of 365ing is that I'd do drawings in a sketchbook each day. I'd shoot em and put em up here.
But today's sketch took forever and I hated it anyway...that I started wondering if I should do more of an "art 365"?
Here's some background info and such on that thought...
1. I'm an art teacher, a professional wedding photographer, a digital artist and a musician and songwriter. So I have LOTS of art to offer.
2. I only "minored" in studio art, and I could use LOTS of work on drawing.
3. This site is about photographs...should I be mixing photos in there?
4. It does have a video option....so singing y'all a new song wouldn't be so horrible, right?
5. I NEED to work with my camera more. The more practice, the more it'll help when I'm trying to make a wedding look like art.
Anyway, those are the thoughts going through my mind. Any opinions? Should I just do photo cuz the site says so? Should I just do sketches because that's what I originally said (I'm only 2 days in)? Or should I do all my art mediums, 365. Pick one each day.
Others have done art projects here and then taken pictures to post. Videos are a form of photographing as are pictures. I don't see any problem with doing what works for you. :-)
it is your project, so do whatever you'd like! i have heard of people doing sketch 365 (not sure if they called it exactly that). i love seeing projects within projects, personally :)
amy,I put up illustrations every now and again (yesterday in fact!) and i'm never sure if its the way to go. but in the end this project is for me to express something daily, and sometimes my frame of mind doesn't lend itself to my camera. each to their own i say, and contre to popular belief there are no such people as 365 police! looking forward to viewing your project what ever you decide to upload!
hi welcome to 365.... =) it is your project... your own rule.... but if i were you, i will take photo of my artworks and post it here.... =) goodluck and have fun....
welcome to 365- I think I might mix it up a bit! when you do decide to take photos of your art work you could play with perspective, composition, etc- thus improving your photography skills at the same time. But like has been said before- this is your project, do it your way :)
I just posted a drawing yesterday...first time I've done that. But, I like mixing things up. I might do some more. I think it's a pretty free form project ~ make it your own and have fun!!
yep! my decision is made then! I am going to do it all. Just like becs said, sometimes my creative juices don't lend themselves to the sketchbook, and I want to pick up the camera and lose myself in it. Sometimes it's the guitar. So, yeah that's what I'm going to do!
