November 25th, 2010
Hey,

I want to move away from scangears... anyone else using anything with multipass that can do multi crop too for 35mm strips and 120?

I am happy with scangears... it is easy enough to use... but it will not do pano nor anything past 2x3... I need some 1x1 and longer crops...

Something about ducks I think. No, I don't have any ducks for sale at the present time.

OK does anyone scan 120 that is larger than 6x4? What do you use?

Thanks Dr Google... VueScan it is...

I use VueScan with my ancient Konica Minolta 35mm scanner. Haven't used it a lot, but when I did it was very easy I found, and a lot better than the stock software.

I wish I could scan 120, lucky you!

I can scan 4x5 with Epson v700, but I'm haaving trouble workingthe kinks out of scanning the 120 (I think, they are my dad's negatives).

@weshook I wanted one of those v700... couldn't justify it... sad :( This vuescan is rocking... well not rocking... takes forever!?!!? But I think the software is having trouble because my negs are very dark shadowed and it cannot see the boarders of the image...

@eyebrows
Steve,ducks? That`s ridiculous,man! ....this man starts a thread and this is how you contribute? By "joking"? ......the guy is clearly asking about sequoia tree-photgraphy.
November 25th, 2010
@eyebrows and @spaceman No he is clearly talking about tractors and farming. I'm definately sure about this. He's mentioned gears and multipasses and longer crops...
