i am so disappointed in my project lately and i don't think people have really been looking at my pics so if you would please take the time to scan through my photos and give me any advice or critiques i would be so grateful. Thanks!

Haley, your photos are lovely and many of them are very personal. I wouldn't worry, people are busy this time of year and I think everyone's views are down. One thing to consider . . . I don't know how often you comment on the photos of others, especially those folks you follow . . . this is a fairly reciprocal site. I find that I make the extra effort to comment on the photos of those folks who regularly take the time to comment on mine. Also, try to include a description or some context for your photo in the description. Many of us aren't sure how to comment, especially on selfies, if we don't know the context or significance of the shot . . . just a few thoughts. Good luck!

haley your pictures are amazing!!!!!
and a description would be nice :D
comment on the people that follow you, and they will do the same.

I'm sorry I don't view and reply to your pictures, but I'm so busy this time of year (holidays coming up and exams coming up) so I'm also having a hard time keeping up my own project...

Hey Haley, what Lynn said is very true about people being busy at this time of year. Don't be too quick to blame yourself. Keep in mind a lot of people are wrapping up their projects in the coming weeks so they can't be bothered to look around. I for one have been slacking a looot with commenting lately just because my laptop hates me and I don't have time to go buy a new one D:

I think your photos are beautiful. You are not a failure. Rest assured a combination of other things are at play here and don't reflect on you or your ability. I myself have been slacking in the commenting department too because this time of year is busy for me. I thought your selfies were great. :)

I had a look through your calendar. Your pictures are lovely and you've got a good eye. Look for people to follow whose work you like and comment on them consistently. You'll find they'll comment in return. Also, as Lynn and Aisleen say, a short description of the photo, why you took it, where, etc., always helps the viewer to put the photo in context. It's very hard to comment on just a picture without knowing why and where the photographer took it. Take part in the Browse and Pick. It's fun and people get to look through your collection then. You're not a failure - just have to work at putting yourself out there a bit more!

Everyone's view are down. My first Christmas on this project, so things have come to a crawl, well, that happens, family things to do.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, there isn't much light to take pictures by outside (7:48Am -> 4:20PM), and the seasonal rain is falling, rainest portion of the year for us, 10+ inches on average during December and January.

Hang in there, things will pick up when spring comes.

Hi Haley. For one thing..you have 48 followers and you only follow 29..you can't expect to get a lot more comments when you yourself only follow 29 out of 48 or maybe not even the same 365er. I think you are not doing too bad..not every picture gets high amounts of comments. and everyone that said to think of the time of the year..people are just too busy this month with getting closer to Christmas. so be patient you wait and see if it gets better after New Year.

hi Hayley, i am newish on here and was feeling the same after a real slump in viewings and/or comments. I agree with the guys' comments above, you have to ensure you comment on others' photos to get reciprocal responses. Time of year doesn't help! I have joined as an ace member so that i could set up a second album of my favourite past photos that i think are mostly better than my "everyday" shots - the comments i get from these i feed into the improvement of my daily photo album - the better these get, the more viewings and comments - seems to be working.
