Hi everyone,

I posted two shots today of the same subject but am not sure if either works please if people have time can you tell me which you prefer and why or why not. thanks everyone :D

I prefer the bottom picture because I like how the colour pops out at me. The top one is good too, but to me the second one is more eye catching :)

I prefer the first picture. The second is too much color. I personally am much more drawn to muted colors.

Bottom one for me.. I like either the full frontal of color or black and white.
sometimes like the muted tones but this to me this one is just washed out.. :)

@laurentye @mej2011 @nikkers thanks for the input. I tend to go for bright in general so was experimenting with muted colours. I thought maybe the colour tones were too similar?

I prefer the bottom, more colorful image, but I find the white background somewhat distracting. I think the bottom one with a more muted background (white spots pull your eye away from the important parts) would be perfect.

Definitely the bottom one. Red berries should be red, not brown. The reds look loads more cheerful.

Between the 2, I like the bottom one.

Try this for fun. Take your color version, turn it to black and white and then push the contrast up. I did that and I like it a lot for a "not color" picture. Those crystals really pop.

I would have overlaid the top image over the bottom image and then picked out the berries using a mask layer in a sort of selective colouring kind of way because I like the muted colour of the leaves in the top image but love the burst of colour that the berries give in the bottom one, but I have never been one to do things the easy way :D

They are both pretty cool but the second one with the white background just pops and glistens for me, that's a winner hands down.

I prefer the bottom one. Brown berries make me sad. Berries should be red and cheerful.

i also prefer the bottom one. love the color - it is so happy. . .it could be fun to play with the backround a little though.

I like the way the glitter looks on the berries in the first one, it stands out more with the muted berries. It doesn't stand out as much with the brighter color.

Even though I prefer colour I'd choose the top one as I'm not keen on the white background of the bottom one.

i like the top one.... the bottom one is too vibrant that i can't quite figure out at first look which is red and which is purple... and the background is too washed out.... but i much prefer it if it's in black and white... =) or lesser vibrance.. =)

I love the vibrant red colors in the second one, that's my first choice. I think I would have upped the contrast a bit in the first one, otherwise it is nice. It has such a different mood from the second. :)
