General Crit--old student back again :)

I've been away from photography for a few years now since I left school, and I feel as if my skills have definitely waned. Classes every day certainly keep you sharp, and I'd love some critique on how to improve both the technical aspects and the general composition of my shots.

I too would crop below the thumb:)

I like the composition but I would try to get the highlights a little less white washed on the hand. It may have been your white balance. If you can adjust that in camera it might make a difference also.
