I didn't mean to take this picture at all but I found it when I was going through my pictures from that night...and the picture kind of confuses me. Is the focus cool or not so much? thanks!!

It almost looks like you've pasted some extra pieces of confetti on top of your original photo. It's very cool.

I like it, it tells a story. I'm sure your camera was on autofocus and it picked up the confetti to focus on, at just the right time and viola! If you want to try and replicate it, you will have to a) find something extremely close to the lens and try to get the autofocus to do its thing by tracking it or b) switch the lens or camera to manual and focus on something very near the camera like your hand or a friends and then keep shooting till you catch it!
