I've been here for two days and I don't know why but my first two photos are probably my most abstract/surreal I've done since I do photography. But, I guess having to take a picture everyday makes you more prone to experiment.
So I wanted to know what you think of those 2 photos and what are your thoughts on abstract photography in general.
Don't be shy to post your own work as examples, it can only bring more interesting points to talk about! I've seen that some people are planning to do a challenge this month on abstract photography, so I guess there will be a lot.
I have never done abstract before, but I'm going to try and post an abstract every day in one of my alternate albums. This project has really inspired me to learn new things and grow in my photography. There are some really talented people on here. (I am not referring to myself!). I'll take a peek at your photos and tell you what I think.
I do graphic/abstract photographs because I like them. I like to create images that challenge the mind as well as me to push the picture into something unusual. They add dimension to my project.
I started the Abstract August theme to get my mind to see the photograph as art and not just a capture, moment or snap shot. It lets me look at old subjects in a new light.
