Why is it that whenever I view photos large I can only see the top half, and I can't even scroll to see the bottom half? This is really annoying, especially when the main part of the photo is at the bottom and the top is just background!!
I think it has to do with the size of the screen. Unfortunately it does not size properly if you have something like a wide screen, just on the older screen sizes with a H/W ratio like a TV. I just hit Ctrl and - a couple of times to reduce my browser size so I can see the whole thing. It happens on all the browsers I use. Something could probably be changed in the HTML code to fix it, but I'm not sure what. I don't speak HTML.
@marilyn It's the same in all browsers for me on my computer, and other computers too!
@jasehoad I tried that, but you still can scroll down the photo!
@mcrt Yeah I've used the Ctrl - thing before, but when it's a portrait shaped photo, I often find that by the time I can see all the picture, I'm back at the same size I was before I reduced! I did wonder for ages if it's cos I'm using a 10" netbook, but it's the same on larger screens too (I even tried it on my 42" tv!!)
It's because you are on a wide screen monitor and not a regular proportioned one. I have the same issue with my laptop because it is widescreen but if I scoot over and use my husband's computer with it's standard monitor and things are fine.
This has come up over and over in discussions - btw - it can be helpful to use the search to find old discussions that are often quite informative. I'm convinced the problem is the size of the monitor - i can't see more than the top of an enlarged photo on my laptop no matter what I do. As soon as I try on a larger monitor, it's fine. So - in at least some cases it may have to do with the size of the monitor.
I noticed the same thing and what I do is change my Zoom Level (in the bottom right-hand corner of your screne) from 100% to 75% and you will see the whole picutre.
