Gymnastic Photos.

How do you take a nice gymnastic photo of your self, not show your face and be able to get in position before the timer takes the photo?

What camera do you have? Some cameras have the option to control the shutter with a remote control or a cord (which are very cheap). If don't have those, you can then use the 10 sec timer, but that can be very tricky. Good luck!

Set the longest timer you can, set the camera to take several shots in close succession if possible (e.g. 10 shots after a 30 second pause), and take a lot of shots! (Haven't tried gymnastics, but have tried dance selfies - no success yet though!)

This is my kind of thread!! :)) Here's one from awhile back... I put my camera on a 10 sec timer with a 3 shot burst. It took about 20 tries to finally get the timing down!

In answer to your question ......You wear yourself out!! I did this shot for the 'mid-air' theme some time back, before I purchased a remote ... so it was self-timer, and trying to plan my run at the right time. I found I got a good work out from this session also - I took that as a bonus!

I used a self-timer for this one! :) It took a couple tries before I could get the shot!

@raggleroo no, your camera does not accept remote control (i have one for my Canon T3i, it's amazing) or, to what i searched, a socket for remote cable shutter.
Sadly in this case, you will have to keep trying the 10 sec timer, 3 or more shot burst. Or ask someone to take your picture.
