This is probably an easy fix (i hope) but my camera is not showing the correct day or time, I have to go in and fix it manually and somehow it reverts back to the incorrect day. When I upload photos and look to see what day is posted it usually says taken the day before it was actually taken. Ugh. I have a Nikon D3100, does anyone know how to get it to stay the correct day and time?
Is your time zone on your camera set correctly? I know that shouldn't affect the date, but maybe. This might be silly but are you pressing the "ok" button after you finish setting the date and time?
Yes, my time zone is set to the correct one and I am hitting OK. But when I leave and go back to the set up menu screen there are just 2 dashes beside time zone and date so maybe it's not saving?! Should there be something on the menu screen beside time zone indicating what one I have chosen?
Is it possible you are setting it 12 hours off? Meaning AM instead of PM (or vice versa)?
Also, how old is your camera? There is a separate battery for the camera's clock and maybe it needs to be replaced.
Check out pages 18 and 19 of your user manual to see about setting the date/time and also about the clock battery.

I have checked and it's set to the correct time..it matches the time on my phone clock so we'll see what happens when I download them. In the meantime I will look at my manual...the camera is only 4 months old. Thanks for your help :)
