Photography for a Cause

March 1st, 2012
I was wondering if anyone here is part of any foundation, charity, or community event where they give back through photography? If so, please share the link or name to the ones your involved in or follow.

What im hoping for is that this post will touch someones heart on here and help get more people involved.

Here are some of the ones that Ive discovered...

Tiny Sparrow Foundation - http://tinysparrowfoundation.org/ They are always posting on their FB site where they need a photographer for a session.

OperationLove - http://www.oplove.org/ Great for those wanting to give back to deployed military.

Help Portrait - http://help-portrait.com/ To me this is a great way to show a random act of kindness.

Shoots for a Cure (formerly known as Think Pink Photography) - http://shootsforacure.com/ - This is for ALL cancer patients going through cancer treatment or in remission.

Hearts Apart - http://www.heartsapart.org/ Another way to give back to deployed military.

Ive also heard that there are quite a few photographers that offer portraits to the humane society & spca for animals looking to be adopted. I would really love to hear about this, if anyone has any experience with it. :)

All wonderful causes to put your photographic skills too.

If I am ever good enough I would really like to donate my time to Heartfelt - http://www.heartfelt.org.au/
