I spoke a little too soon. I didn't format my memory card which I now realize I should have and a disk scan relocated all my photos to a hidden folder within the card. I located the folder, but couldn't open any of the files on any program.. except for Paint. So now I am manually converting 100+ files to JPG. If anyone knows how or has any ideas of how I can do a mass conversion.. please let me know! Not sure what this will do to the photo quality but I'm just relieved my photos weren't permanently lost. Whew.
If anyone ever gets the "found.000" file issue -hopefully no!- feel free to contact me for the step by step.
In the meantime.. carpal tunnel here I come. Thanks for reading.
Oh no!! I accidentally deleted my photos from my card not realizing I hadn't downloaded them properly a while back. I researched and found a recovery program on line. You can actually download for free to see if the program is able to recover your photos. If it can and you want to recover them, it then charges a fee for the software. I bought it, because it was worth the photos I had taken. I have had to use once more since the other incident and was glad I had purchased to the program. @exposure4u I was able to recover the photos, somewhat! But still much thanks Wendy! I'm glad you were able to recover your accidentally deleted photos with that program, I'll keep it bookmarked just in case :)
@exposure4u my daughter just returned from a 2 week holiday in new zealand and her memory card decided to tell her that the 400+ photos she had taken were not there!! After taking the card to a camera shop they told her they could not retrieve anything:( We called around a few places in the city that wanted you to take out a small mortgage to pay them!! soooo i found this thread and read your comment.....downloaded said program and got all of her photos back for $38 AUD!! thank you so much for posting this info :):)
