I am new here and i look at a lot of peoples pictures and notice they have like over 100 followers. I was just wondering how do you gain more followers. Whats the best way. Now obviously you want to have good photos for people to look at. But is there other ways? Still getting use to the site and whatnot.
Hi Jamie and welcome to 365! Some people burst into this community with some really wow shots and get noticed immediately and followed, but mostly you get followers by following people yourself and commenting on their work and by generally being active in discussions. And 'faving' shots you really love is one way to 'meet' others too. People always go check out anyone new who gives them a fav. So take a look in the Browse options and find some people whose shots you like and go to it :-)
After about 5 months I now have 120-somthing followers. The number grew slowly, and mostly from just being active on the site. Take the best photos you can, participate in the forum and themes, follow others and comment on photos. That's really all there is to it.
Welcome to 365. This is a fun place with some very special people. ! If you add followers, be sure to comment on their photos, too. Some people add way too many followers and it's very difficult & time consuming to stay in touch with so many. I prefer that my followers comment on my photos when they have time rather than thank me for commenting on theirs. Alicia (above) says it all. Good luck!
The important thing it isn't how many followers you have, it's how many of them comment your shots, give you advices or opinions and if they do because they like and not because they only want to make you "realize that they exist" so you comment their shots
