When I first joined I didn't fav many photos, I thought why do I want to collect other peoples shots? Now as you can see I fav many, because I can look back at what has inspired me throughout the year, a collection that is as dear as my own. In a way it has become my own, my own valuable collection of the beauty that is 365. I know I have at least one of everyone I follow to look back on after the year is complete, a treasure trove of a world of visual stimuli. Thank you 365ers!
I remember starting and having a whole lot of criteria for faving a shot, it had to make me go WOW, I didn't fav more than one a day and if I'd already faved someone I didnt do it again too soon. I was somehow hesitant. Now there's now stopping me... I fav A LOT. It just has to move or impress me in some way. Like you Sharon it is a bit of a historical collection of my time on here and the people I've gotten to know and I love every photo. :)
Agree same for me. I realised it's too long to go back in someone's album. So I rather fav a lot and have the pleasure to look at the pictures again. The best are the olds ones that I forgot ;-)
I used to be stingy with fav's too, then I realized that it was a great way to revisit photo's I enjoy looking at. When someone fav's my photo's it makes me happy tha someone wants to look at my photo again!
I put zero thought into faving a shot. It's strictly instinctive. I know the second I see it if that I'm going to FAV it. I know what I like when I like it!
Yep, I long ago realized I was being too stingy with my favs because I love looking back through them. I usually fav like Crom does - simply because I know the second I see a photo that I like it. But, then, sometimes I fav because of the circumstances under which the photo was posted, or the words that accompany it. Like Jerry Plume @orangecrush said (more eloquently) in another thread, it's like walking into a store with an unlimited source of money, you can buy (fav) everything you want!
I am still pretty new here, and everyday I see photos that inspire me & make make me say Wow! I fav for many different reasons, but every fav is because it evoked a strong emotion.
I fav (and quite often) because I palin and simple LOVE the shot.. or it is something I would want to try later. There is so much talent on here that it truly amazes me. Keep up the great work.. I have many more favs to go.. LOL
Like many of you here, I was also "careful" with faving at first, but now I just go with it. Why not?! I love my "favourites" album and often visit it for inspiration, or just to appreciate the pure beauty of it.
