photographing snowflakes

January 4th, 2013
Hi All

I'm relatively new to 365project and I'd like to learn some tricks of the trade for photographing snowflakes. I tried finding this topic, but didn't find any recent discussions.

I shoot with a Canon 7D and was thinking of purchasing some extension tubes to try to capture close up shots of snowflakes.

Does anyone have any pointers on how to get started?

Thanks,
sue

Hi Sue
I just did a google search and there are a number of tutorials there for photographing snow/snowflakes depending on your search criteria. I am hoping to find some time over the weekend to get out and put into practice some of the things I have read in the past few days about photographing snow and snow flakes. Good luck.

extension tubes are an economical way to do macro if you do not have a true macro lens. Good luck!
