Can you help me identify this bird?

Right now, it is known as "Fluffy Bird," because I'm uncertain of the proper name.
FYI, this shot was taken at my dad's house in Reno, Nevada. My uncle thought it might be a scrub jay, but I googled that and could not find a match.
Anyone know?

(Forgot to say: sorry for the poor light and focus in this shot, it was taken from VERY away -- neighbor's tree -- with my new 300mm lens. It was also taken at about 4:40 p.m. But I couldn't resist because it was so cuddly.) :)

I think it may be a Oomagooly Bird?

Hmmm...I'm not sure about that, they are not native to Northern Nevada. ;-)

Looks like this could be a Western Scrub Jay, especially with the stripes on its chest, that would be my guess.

You know, I did not think it was a scrub jay because according to what I found on google images, the scrub jays are rather "skinny."
But, then I googled "fluffy scrub jay," and I found this:

Maybe I just caught this bird while fluffing...?

Yes, they will puff out either to shake out dust or water, that also often puff out at roost for warmth. I am curious to see what others think. :-)

Yes, I believe it's a Western Scrub Jay as well.

Very true but I could not see any legs on this one (just two wings and a tail)?
It's well know that the Oomagooly Bird chicks are "Sooo Fluffy..."
