I was wondering if there are other linux users on here.
I use ubuntu (12.10).
For photo organising I use shotwell, for editing I use darktable and sometimes gimp.
I use Fedora 14, and edit with The GIMP. My Fedora distro came with Shotwell, but I stopped using it after a while because I couldn't figure out how to do all I wanted to do with it. If I could get ACDSee to run under WINE, I'd be happy.
I use Linux for all kinds of things, but not for photo editing. Mostly Fedora and CentOS, and I have a number of embedded devices running Linux variants (including my car MP3 player, although sadly not currently fitted in my car)
Ubuntu 11.10 here with Gnome 3 instead of Unity. (Seriously considering migrating to a more easily customisable distribution though, maybe Saboyan). Using Darktable and Gimp, also Luminance and Hugin for HDR and the very occasional panorama.
I use Linux only for years. Tried some Ubuntu before using Ubuntu 10.04 for long time. And then 11.10 for a year and since a week the current LTS 12.04.
My old setup was F-Spot, UFRaw, Gimp.
Now my new setup is Shotwell, Darktable, Gimp, ImageMagick as daily routine. And then there are some special programs like Hugin and other sort of seldom needed applications.
