First and foremost, I am sorry for the excess of threads I have posted this month. However, all of you are so helpful and encouraging and I do love to utilize what resources I have.
I've been working on various projects for my friends who are graduating and one of them jokingly suggested that I made a video similar to the How I Met Your Mother opening sequence. I think it's a great idea and I'd love to try.
Does anyone know of any free photo software that has good effects? Like good "vintage-y" effects?
The most common free online are the websites Picmonkey and Ribbet :)
I think there may be a Picasa one as well, but I've not looked at it.
Have a play about with the contrast and saturation of your shot and you'll probably find you make your own effect!
Or maybe find a shot you like the look of as ask how they did it.
Gimp is a free software you can download which is alright, not the easiest of things to use necessarily, if your after something where you can just click and apply effects, and I actually think you can get Photoshop CS2 free now.
Picasa has different choices for special edits, like 60's, and polaroid, that would work for this project. I havent' tried this, but it looks like PIcasa also has a movie making feature now.
Ok.. I wasn't sure if you were wondering about just the pics, or both. :-) I went and looked at the opening for How I Met Your Mother :-) Just make everything a little yellow! LOL
