when i am using the transform --> scale function to resize a layer, how do i constrain the proportions?
in PSE, i'm pretty sure that dragging on the corners kept the proportions the same, but not in PS...
i googled, but all the hits spoke about resizing images - and i know how to constrain proportions for that... but nothing on resizing a layer (think composites where you've cut and pasted in something from a different shot and you need to resize to the scale of the shot you've pasted into)...
And, because it's Photoshop and there's almost always more than one way to do something, you can also click on the 'maintain aspect ratio' lock in the scaling toolbar:
