Selling an old camera and lens.....how?

Could anybody give me any advice on a good way to sell an old Nikon DSLR and lens?
As my photography obsession has increased, I've upgraded and bought myself a better camera.
Is Ebay the go? OR is there another 'camera only' selling website that you could recommend?
(I'm based in NSW, Australia)
Thanks in advance.

Hmm it doesn't appear to be as popular in Australia! Never mind :)

I would have a look at eBay and before you list your camera check out what prices cameras of a similar type are getting. Also you can put a reserve price on the goods so you're not giving it away.

What about www.gumtree.com.au. Its free and easy to use.

I've sold several different lenses on Ebay and currently have my 400D up there as well ... Haven't had any trouble in the past (including one that was a $1k sale) with payment etc ...

Gumtree as Lee-Ann said. It's the bomb.

I just sold my old 5d MII and 24-105mm on Craigslist. I had cash for it in less than 24 hours. I have sold and purchased lots of used gear and lighting from Craigslist.

Do you have a photography shop nearby? Sometimes they buy and resell old equipment.

I would suggest gumtree in australia, or ebay. What are you selling, my sister in Australia is looking for a Nikon DSLR as a beginner! @hwhittle77

@lisatargowska @jennifer365 @thomastoth @kporte @scaryrobot @leestevo @adayinmallacoota @zer026t thanks for all the advice.

@lisatargowska I'm selling a nikon D60 - entry level DSLR. Don't really want much for it, I would just prefer it was being used, than sitting in its box. I've got manual, and battery and charger etc.
I've also got a Nikkor 18mm-200mm DX that has hardly been used and not damaged.

Oh, I'd have no problem taking that off your hands for you. No need to go through the trouble of selling it, just send it on over to me. Hehehe :)
