I've looked to see if anyone else has posted this before but couldn't find anything, sorry if it's a repost.
I can't get my Canon Speedlite 430 EX II to fire.
It powers up and I can get a test flash and works on Auto so it's not broken but it won't fire when I take a shot. It's only when the camera's on program, Av, Tv or Manual.
It won't work in ETTL or Manual, I've set it fire on 2nd curtain and to sync with the shutter speed, nothing.
There's a little rectangular symbol on the top right of the display that sometimes comes up (something to do with if the scene will be completely lit I think), that won't go away, no matter my focal length on my 18-55mm, it's also there when I use my 50mm.
I know it's a simple setting but I've tried to find a solution online and read through the manual but I can't seem to figure it out.
Can anyone help me with some basic things I should check?
Please ignore this post, somehow managed to disable flash firing in the custom menu of my camera, probably the same day I forgot to switch my camera off and it took about 100 black photos in my camera bag.
