Hmmm, I don't know. I guess you should decide according to their feedback; if others have bought refurbished cameras from that seller and haven't experienced problems, then why not? :)
ooooh that scares me. I'd rather go into a camera store and physically hold and check out their refurbished ones in person. We have a place, Houston Camera Exchange that does that. They are reputable. Maybe you could research if your town has a place like that?
If I was buying refurbished, I'd really only buy from B&H or Adorama. They have good return policies on used merchandise. Not saying everyone on ebay is shady, but it's much easier to get screwed on Ebay than from an established company.
My Kodak C190 is a factory refurb I got from EBay and the only thing wrong with it is that the sound effects (shutter noise) does not work. Otherwise for 29 bucks it was a deal!
cameta camera on ebay is a reputable company that i've bought multiple lenses from in the past. they often sell refurbs that have a year warranty and besides the box, they are identical to their more expensive counterparts.
I say look up the camera clubs where enthusiasts often upgrade ... you know it's more likely to have been cared for (read loved) and you make contacts for your next upgrade.
