As I'm approaching the end of my first year doing this project (yes, I plan to do more years!) I'd just like to say a massive thank you to a few people :)
Firstly, Ross, thank you so much for enabling us to have this community, for facilitating a place for us to share all of our photos and working hard to keep everything 'up and running'. I'm really grateful for all the time and effort you've put into it, I don't think there is another community quite like it on the internet, you've done such a great job and I really appreciate it! :)
Secondly, thank you to people who I'm following and others who I've seen around the site. Thank you for showing me your photos and letting me see a glimpse of your life. You've kept me inspired, given me ideas, given me something to aim for, showed me some absolutely fantastic pictures, shared so many emotions and ups and downs. I've loved following your work all year and I have loved seeing you all grow, improve and keep going on this journey!
Finally, I really want to thank everybody who has commented on my photos this year and who is following me. You've kept me going, encouraged me, made me smile on dark days, given me kind words I can look over when I'm not feeling great, boosted my confidence, given me hope and a more positive outlook on things, cheered me up, helped me improve, helped me develop...the list goes on! You're just all amazing people and I honestly can't thank you enough. You will never truely appreciate what your few words on my page have meant to me and what they've done for me. I'm just so grateful.
This year hasn't been the easiest year. There have been ups, downs, and don't-even-want-to-get-out-of-bed days! This has been a big year in many ways for me, I turned 16, I finished my compulsary education, left GCSEs behind and began A-Levels. Lost friends, made new friends, left people behind, met new people. Went forwards, backwards and round and round in circles. A few things have stayed the same but many things have changed. It's not necessarily been an easy journey, but it's been a necessary one and photography has really helped me on the way!
I hope that you've all had a fantastic 2010 and wish you the best for 2011. I really am grateful for all you've all done for me this last year and I hope to move into the new year with you all, sharing more of your amazing photos!
You are just darling, you know that? I've LOVED your photos as well as captions - you are so interesting and bright and a joy, really! Your shots are fun AND beautiful at the same time. I can't wait to see what more you have next year :D xox
I've loved following your project Naomi, even though my comments were few and far between - I've still looked and enjoyed! I'm happy to hear you'll be doing more :-)
Wonderful :) I've followed you for the longest time and I've loved your photos, especially your unique take on things :) It has indeed been a journey for you and for all of us and you've been through many stresses and tough things but things do and will work out in the end. I hope 2011 is awesome for you. :) I'm excited!
I agree so much with everything that you have said. I have enjoyed following you and watching your pictures get so good. I am so glad to see that you are continuing with this Project. I look foward to seeing your pictures this year...and all the changes that your life will take! I thank you also for following me and encouraging me.
Snap, ditto and same goes for me! Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent... and thank you for sharing your wonderful words of gratitude [SEE?!!!! NOT ALL TEENS ARE SELFISH AND SELF ABSORBED CREATURES!!!!!!!! ;)]... I couldn't have put it better myself. May 2011 bring you much health and happiness... inspiration and motivation... and from that I know you will gain great wealth. Here's to another year of photos! ;)
Naomi, it has been my pleasure to follow you. You are indeed talented and I admire your creative ability as well as skill. I love seeing your young woman's perspective on life. Best wishes for a prosperous new year and I hope you have more days of joy than gloom.
I didn't follow you until now..So you can be my New Year's resolution :) I found it wonderfully enchanting that a sixteen year old is funny and happy and grateful and recognizes the blessings in her life and thanks people for it.
It makes me want to take a closer look at all teenagers and find the good.
I went and looked at your photos. You have a different creative eye and I am horribly jealous of your blue bokeh reindeer!
I hope this next year brings you all the best and enough of the worst for perspective.
Naomi I'm very very impressed by what you have written here. I've started looking at your photos (and filling up your notifications box!) and am also impressed with your work.
