I need help.

I noticed today that when I look through my view finder I see spots. It is not showing up in my pictures and if it is then Im not seeing them. My lens is clean, the fliter is too. Is it my censor? If it is Im too nervous to clean it myself so does anyone know where I can get it cleaned and how much?

get a dust blower for your camera, take your lens off and try cleaning it that way. they're pretty cheap.

no not your sensor... if it was you would see the spots on the pictures and not in the viewfinder.. it could be a number of places, mirror, lens, pentaprism... start and the front and work back into the camera... but if they don't affect the picture... try not to ruin the camera to clean them!

I've had that happen a couple of times on my earlier SLRs....it was usually my mirror - due to poor lens changing habits. Jordan is right, work through it systematically and don't use compressed air (which can introduce moisture and sometimes chemicals) but instead invest in a decent blower like Giottos Rocket....

What if I just ignore it, will the particles effect the electronics in my camera?
