It seems like when I am processing my pictures, I almost always hit the "convert to black and white" button, and I almost always prefer black and white. Do you all go through phases like this too?
Hahah, yeah actually that's true. I never used the black and white option as much as now. every day I'm doing a B&W photo for sure, But I'm trying to don't add them too much on 365Project :) That nobody can see this phase ;)
I go thru phases of "over processing" my images. I often have to remind myself not to do so much to an image, that sometimes I need to let the composition speak for itself and not add alot of distraction by using actions or adding too many curves layers.
I hardly ever post black and white pictures... but I LOVE them. I only make my photos black and white if I feel like it looks better that way... but alot of times my subject is of a sunset or something else extremely colorful and I just cant bring myself to make it black and white lol
I have only done a few B&W's in the last year. I really like the contrast but I have created so many pretty PS actions in color that I usually just stick to that. I may have to try doing more this year. :)
I love B&W and for a while there I would shoot in just B&W (I prefer to actually shot in B&W rather than just change during the editing process). I go through phases of what I photograph, as well. I think it has to do with finding something you really like (like B&W photograph) and then the interest in perfecting that before going on to the next thing that will claim your interest. At least that's how I feel about it. =)
I have definitely been guilty of the overprocessing phase. I have yet to hit the b/w phase. The phase I deal with the most is obsession/boredom. I tend to tire after a month, unfortunately. Keep posted to see if I can overcome my natural inclinations.
